IN THE SPOTLIGHT TESTIMONIES

It is no small thing to lay down your life to live for Jesus. There is nothing more difficult in this world than to be obedient to the convictions that the Lord has put in your heart in the face of difficult circumstances or opposition. It is for this reason that there is such a power in hearing the testimony of someone who is choosing to trust God no matter what difficulties may come their way. I hope these testimonies encourage you in your walk with God to be bold and unashamed of all that God has called you to be. God bless you!

Joshua 1:9 "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Overcoming Spiritual Sloth

Another way to describe spiritual sloth is spiritual laziness. Often times we are taught to be so focused on our external appearance that we fail to focus on what is really important, our heart. It takes hard work to get a command of your thought life and truly change your motives to ones that are pleasing to God. Here is a testimony of someone's process of making this heart change and what it takes to get there.

Reverence: The Days of Ananias and Sapphira are Upon Us

This is a powerful testimony about the power of God returning to those Christian followers who are in union with Jesus. As God comes upon His people in power it will require a reverence for the Lord that the Church does not practice or understand. Those who do not revere God and His anointed will find themselves in the same shoes as Ananias and Sapphira in Acts.

There is nothing more difficult in this world than truly living your life for Christ. It is one thing to live as a morally good person and have the respect of the community around you for your great ideals. It is another thing entirely to be a person who follows the promptings of the Spirit and allows the Lord to lead every decision in your life. Jesus was more than a man of superior character, He was also a man that spoke the truth and brought great exposure to those not whole heartily living for God. It is for this reason that He promised to every one of his followers that if they persecuted me, than they will persecute you. If they hated me, not they will hate you also (Jn 15:18-20). If we are walking in the footsteps of what was modeled when Jesus walked this earth, than we will experience the trials that Jesus experienced (1 Pe 2:21).

In the book of Galatians Paul makes it really clear that the spirit of this world is completely antagonistic to the Spirit of God (Gal 5:17). When a believer truly begins to follow the promptings of the Spirit and allows Jesus to lead their lives some very radical things begin to happen. At one time we were accustomed to the things of this world and lived by its very principles of serving self and gratifying every desire. When you live your life for Jesus you begin the journey of no longer serving self, but serving to bring pleasure to your Lord and Savor in all that you do. This process of laying down your life is not only foreign to people of the world, but is unfortunately just as foreign to the modern day Church (1 Pe 4:4).

Every week we have services that are in place to help those following Jesus to have a place to be around like minded believers facing many of the same pressures and struggles. Every Saturday night we come together and leadership seeks the Lord as to how everyone can be strengthened and built up in their convictions. Some of the services even serve to expose what is inside of people's hearts as a way to bring a fresh and renewed conviction. The leadership team prays and seeks out the Lord as to what this will look like on a week to week basis.

We generally begin our services by discussing prayers or testimonies of individuals in our ministry that express their commitment to wholly surrender their lives to Jesus in all that they do. This is a very special part of our service because we spend time remembering these commitments that we made as well as making new commitments that will bring us closer to our most amazing God. After spending time going through the prayer we worship together. After worship a message is giving based on what the Lord is ministering to in the fellowship.

We believe as a ministry that in our own understanding we are completely inadequate to meet the needs of our people or teach them the things that will truly change them from the inside out. It is easy to simply use your intellect to figure out solutions to the many problems that people face every week. The truth is that not only are the solutions we come up with completely off from what the Lord is focusing on, but often times we don't even know what the real problem is to come up with a solution in the first place. It is for this reason that we wait upon the Lord each week to show us what He feels is important for our people to hear each week. He not only knows the problem, but He also knows the solution that will bring about real life giving change. This only makes sense because all that is life and truth is found in Him.

That is our general framework each Saturday night as we gather together. Many weeks we do things entirely different based on what the Holy Spirit puts inside of our heart, so we are not fixed on a set schedule or routine. We purpose our services this way as we do not wish to confine God to a schedule that would inhibit the way He wants to move in a service. This makes every Saturday night a exciting journey where we get to experience God in the most personal way. It also creates a environment to be vulnerable with your fellow brothers and sisters in Christ who are experiencing many of the same trials and tribulations that you face on a regular basis. If you are not experience such trials then your time with us will serve to expose many of the ways that you may have compromised yourself to the spirit of this world. This is our Saturday night service, if you have any questions or would like more information please feel free to contact us.

How can I help?

Please consider supporting what the Lord is doing in our fellowship. God has been moving in powerful ways and we are experiencing a real revival of intimacy with Christ and seeing the power outflowing from living a life in union with Him. It is time for the modern day Church to wake up and return to their first love. If the Lord inspires you to support our efforts we would be grateful and do not hesitate to contact us if you would like to explore other ways you can contribute to this great work that the Lord is doing. God Bless you all!
