About The Prayer Room

They were all together in one place. Suddenly the violent sound of a wind came from heaven and filled the whole place. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in tongues (Ac. 2). This is a prayer room.

A room where we come together and wait upon the Lord to speak to us and show us His plans for our life and fellowship. A place where we can spend all of our energies to get quiet before the Lord by laying down our agendas and ideas of what we think life is supposed to look like. As we most certainly know that His ways are not our ways and our ways are not His ways (Isa. 55:8-9). Seeking out His heart and finding out the stirrings inside of His mind. Reaching our minds toward heaven and letting go of all our worldly concerns.

Our prayer room is not really our prayer room at all, it is a place that we have dedicated to God and let Him be the One to guide and lead everything that we do. He is the head and we are the body (Col. 2:6-23). There are many types of sets that we do in the prayer room from worship to quiet prayer. The purpose of the prayer room is to create an atmosphere that is holy and reverent for the Lord to come and do a work in our lives. God is jealously searching through the whole earth for a place where He is welcome to dwell freely. The problem that we had to face was that in most occasions we do not carry the reverence required for a rich intimacy with the Lord, unless we seriously change the way we live our lives. It is for this reason that all of our prayer sets are aimed at preparing people's hearts for deep spiritual union with the Lord. We also ask that each person who enters into our prayer room would conduct themselves in a manner honoring to the Lord.

In order to become a vessel for the Lord to reside inside of in power we have to clean up all the rooms in our house and choose to be obedient to Him in the face of great trials of testing (Eph. 4:17-5:21). Peter made it very clear in his letter that we should not be surprised when trials come our way as if something normal was not happening to us (1 Pe. 4:12). Being that we are such frail and wavering people it is crucial that we all have a place that will strengthen our commitment to be obedient to the Lord and even see that it is through His discipline that we can recognize His overwhelming love for our lives (Pr. 3:11-12). This is the prayer room. A place where we can gather together and deepen our commitment to God, all the while seeking out more clarity of what God's priorities are for our lives.
